A new website highlighting the remote Virginia destination of Tangier Island was featured in a recent article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch which focused on the island as one of the states "must-visit" area. The article "Just a Natural Playground", written by Bob Brown, appeared in the Monday, June 25 edition of the Times-Dispatch and names Tangier Island as one of the top ten places in Virginia people should visit.

Tangier Island, located off the Eastern Shore, is accessible only by air or ferry and boasts a population of less than 600. Tangier is known mainly for its crabbing and for the unique dialect of its residents, the majority of whom are descended from the island's original settlers. Among the sources named in the article was the website GoTangierIsland.com , designed by CINIVA and launched in June, 2007 to promote tourism to the area.

In addition to helping promote Tangier Island tourism, CINIVA has designed and maintained websites for other area travel organizations, including the City of Norfolk, Stafford County, Virginia, Currituck County in the Outer Banks, and the Greek Island of Karpathos.
