My Sisters' Love, an annual Virginia conference dedicated to the professional and spiritual support of African-American women, is pleased to announce the addition of Emmy- and NAACP Image Award winner Ruby Dee as the keynote speaker of the 2007 event. A legend in the entertainment industry, Dee has appeared in such films as The Jackie Robinson Story, A Raisin in the Sun, and Jungle Fever, and on countless television series and miniseries. The My Sisters' Love Conference, founded by Debbie K. Hansley, was inspired
by the need to provide African American women of diverse accomplishments, a forum to network, exchange ideas, experiences, and cultivate spiritual, personal and professional development. The My Sisters' Love Conference is committed to giving back to the community. Portions of the proceeds have been donated to the American Cancer Society and the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services teenage mother support group, Mothers in Transition.
