Having spent nearly thirty years as a physician, Robert Waddell understood the close-knit community of doctors. When one needed a referral for a service, or wanted to sell a car or sublet a home, he looked for assistance from other doctors. Dr. Waddell remembered, too, thumbing through numerous fraternity publications and noting the classified sections. Now retired, Dr. Waddell decided he wanted to spend the time helping bring the community even closer.

This vision was realized with the launch of DoctorsClassified.com in August, 2007. A "Craigslist for physicians," DoctorsClassified.com is designed to serve physicians wishing to connect for various goods and services. Physicians around the country are invited to take advantage of free membership to post ads for automotive and home items, job listings and conference announcements, condos and timeshares, and even medical equipment for building a practice. An online forum allows physicians to meet and network through the website as well.

DoctorsClassified.com was created by Dr. Waddell in conjunction with CINIVA Systems, a top Web design firm in Virginia Beach, VA. Known for its development of websites for the City of Norfolk and the Jamestown 2007 celebration, CINIVA Systems also specializes in e-commerce websites and community forums, including DoctorsClassified.com, SaborHR.com, and Xspots.net.
