Ciniva Content Management System (CMS)
The picture of the box is very good, although that really indicates that the CMS has a PC component. Such a component can be written in Java or NET, and could be very good to have but somewhat outside our typical scope for projects.
Actually I like the non instrusive web application. Kuba could come up with something that looks like a web product. Aram's CMS looks like one possibility .. His CMS is very similar to many I have seen on the web and could be improved.
However, if a better backend interface could be developed for the Pagean Cold Fusion administrator, it would have some very interesting possibilities. Especially with the revised version. Here is what I am talking about --
People, such as ourselves, will go to a site like monster templates and buy a template and use it for a web site.. all good. But what we could do is, come up with a few basic templates and make them geometrically and linguistically expandable. For example, I could do this with flow cushion, assembly, or NCVB; but not with Hearing or Amti or Ciniva.
So we come up with a half dozen basic templates, then advertise like monster templates. Now someone sees a template they like and they can buy it and choose among several options:
- raw html template $29
- template plus CMS hosted on their server $200 setup + $15 / month
- template plus CMS hosted on our server $150 setup + $30 / month
additional templates for plan 2 or 3 would be $29 + additional site hosting fee.
Once user buys template, they immediately can login to the revised CMS and will have a sample pages set up with instructional information on using the CMS in the sample pages themselves.. I will demo this when we get a quiet period.
